Mobile 3DUI One of the initial motivations of Iparla has been to tackle the challenge 3D interaction on mobile devices, with the final goal of favoring the use of 3D applications in mobile setups. To achieve this goal, we have designed new 3D UIs adapted to the mobile device input space, and we have extended the mobile device input space towards 3D oriented structures.
Touch-based 3DUI General interaction with current interactive systems is evolving towards tactile interfaces. We are contributing to the adaptation of 3DUI to the tactile paradigm. More precisely, we study user performance for 3D interaction tasks on [multi-]touch screens, we design new 3D UIs for the current systems, and we explore new modalities to enhance 3D interaction on touch-screens.
Immersive interfaces From our initial investigations with the CAT (6DOF device), we are exploring new 3D UIs for immersive setups. In particular, we are interested in new 3D interfaces for cultural heritage, and for music creation.
